SNC80: A potent, selective,non-peptide δ opioid receptor agonist
SNC80 is a powerful tool with which to explore the role
of δ opioid receptors in the central nervous system (CNS).
δ Opioid receptors are widely distributed throughout the
brain, spinal cord and peripheral sensory systems1 and are
important in many CNS regulatory functions such as antinociception,
2 regulation of stress adaptation 3 and modulation
of immune responses.4 SNC80 is a potent δ opioid
receptor agonist both in vitro and in vivo.1,5,6,7
