With over 2.5 million dollars in sales Novamed has become an important player in selected markets by combining user need for a particular application with a cost-effective product. Such products include the patented and FDA approved DipStreak and Diaslide devices for diagnosis of urinary tract infections and NovaStreak for detection of microorganisms present in food and dairy products. Our rapid one-step diagnostic assays for viral infections (AdenoStick, RotaStick , CombiStick, RSVStick and Gonorrhea One-Step are all the latest third generation products and are registered for sale in the European Union (CE-marked). Kits based on this technology are also available for Streptococcus A and B. Our Uni-Sep and Uni-Sorb line of products have modernized procedures for lymphocyte isolation and separation, while our ECM-coated culture ware is standard in laboratories growing adherence dependent cell lines. All Novamed's products are performance tested in a stringent quality control program, according to ISO-9001:2000 standards. Novamed's unique corporate structure enables the company to be both well established with a proven record of success in production, sales and support, while allowing it to be an aggressive "start-up" in regards to development of new products and methodologies. The President of Novamed and the company’s department heads are PhDs with extensive experience in the fields of biochemistry, immunology, and clinical and theoretical microbiology. They work with a group of co-workers how specialize in production, quality control, and customer service. Novamed is aware of the importance of quality control to our customers and has introduced strict QC procedures into all manufacturing processes. Novamed’s QC approach has three main aspects: 1) Testing of product components prior to use to confirm their suitability for the intended use and their compatibility with other components to be used. 2) In-process testing to assure that components and procedures are being employed according to QC specifications. 3) Final testing to confirm that the product fulfills its intended use, meeting defined standards and customer needs.
