AutoCam48

Specifications

Capacity: 48 strips per run
Power: universal input
Dimensions (mm): 400(w) x 620(d) x 150(h)

Newly launched – November 2003

Designed and manufactured by Bee Robotics Ltd, the Autocam48 has been developed to ease the process of interpretation of strips for laboratories.

A fully automated instrument, it will process strips directly in the rack, which will eliminate a critical manual step. Polarised racks will ensure that the rack can only be inserted into the BeeBlot and AutoCam48 in one direction to help track sample identification. The software checks the X and Y movement to ensure a reliable run every time. Each strip is interpreted as a histogram with a virtual image and notepad for the user.

The Windows-based user interface has a simple layout to reduce training time

bulletNo manual handling – strips remain in rack
bulletHigh throughput – 48 strips interpreted in approx 10 min
bulletMinimum human error – polarized racks for one-way insertion
bulletHigh sensitivity – dark environment for high sensitivity
bulletDetailed strip information – virtual image and histogram of strips
bulletTraceability – time and date of run is saved automatically and notes can be added to trip information
Bee12

Specifications

Power: universal input
Dimensions (mm): 640(w) x 620(d) x 450(h)

You don’t have to be high throughput to benefit from automation.

The Bee12 has been designed with the small throughput laboratory in mind and uses the same well-proven components derived from the successful BeeBlot instrument.

Stop Press... A Bee12 prototype will be exhibited at the Medica Trade Show in Dusseldorf 24-27 November 2004. Visit us there in Hall 3, Stand F65 and for further information visit www.medica.de.

The Bee12 is fully programmable from user-friendly windows-based software allowing the operator to custom-build their assay protocols. Once the assay has been programed, the parameters can be uploaded from the PC to run from the instrument using the integral keypad. Up to 12 different assay protocols can be stored and selected for use via the integral keypad. A reagent save feature can be included into any assay which reverses the pumps thereby saving valuable reagents.
