Application

The IL-6 Kit is a solid
phase sandwich Enzyme Linked-Immuno- Sorbent Assay (ELISA). A monoclonal
antibody specific for IL-6 has been coated onto the wells of the
microtiter strips provided. The antigen and a biotinylated monoclonal
antibody specific for IL-6 are simultaneously incubated. Revelation step
includes Streptavidin-Horse Radish peroxidase and TMB as chromogen.

measured IL-6 was serially diluted in standard buffer diluents over the
range of the assay. Linear regression of samples versus the expected
concentration yielded a correlation coefficient of 0.99. |

pooled normal serum is 81.6% (72 % to 100%) for IL-6
concentrations ranging from 50 to 1.5 pg/ml |
