| Formulation |
The sterile filtered solution was lyophilized with no
additives. |
| Reconstitution |
We recommend a quick
spin followed by reconstitution in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0mg/mL.
This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4
degree Celsius for 1 week or -20 degree Celsius for future use. |
| Storage |
The lyophilized
protein is stable for a few weeks at room temperature, but best stored at
-20 degree Celsius. Reconstituted GM-CSF should be stored in working
aliquots at -20 degree Celsius. |
| Purity |
Greater than 98% by
SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses. |
| Biological
Activity |
The ED50
was determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of
human TF-1 cells is <= 0.1 ng/mL, corresponding to a specific activity of >=
1 x 10^7 units/mg. |
| Description |
Granulocyte
Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor (GM-CSF) is a potent species-specific
stimulator of bone marrow cells. GM-CSF stimulates precursor cells of
granulocytes, macrophages, and eosinophils. Human GM-CSF is a 14.0 kDa
protein containing 123 amino acid residues. |
| Endotoxin |
Endotoxin level is
less than 0.1 ng/μg (1EU/μg). |
