| Description: |
Human EGF is produced by genetically
engineered yeast, and purified by sequential
chromatography and reverse-phase HPLC. This polypeptide
is identical to gamma-urogastrone, or equivalent to
human EGF1-52.

| Biological Activity: |
The mitogenic activity of human EGF is
measured by the stimulation of 3H-thymidine
incorporation into human foreskin fibroblast cells. In
addition, EGF activity has been determined by a
receptor-binding assay (RBA) using A-431 cells.
