Comparative 1D or 2D Protein Gel Electrophoresis


Comparative 1 D SDS-PAGE Electrophoresis:

Appropriate solubilized protein amounts will be seperated on SDS PAGE gels (Percentages between 6 and 20% are available) and stained with Coomassie.. For ensuring reproducibility, the comparative 1 D protein gel electrophoresis should be repeated at least 1 x with the same 2 samples.

Comparative 2 D SDS-PAGE Electrophoresis:

IEF will be carried out with appropriate solubilized protein amounts using IPG Phor-Strips (standard pH ranges available are pH 3-10 and pH 4-7, on request other pH ranges are possible). The IPG Phor-Strips are applied to 2 D SDS PAGE gels which are stained with either Commassie or Silver. For ensuring reproducibility, the comparative 2 D protein gel electrophoresis should be repeated at least 1 x with the same 2 samples.
