Power PS2 (2D image analysis software) VisPROTM Kit VisPROTM Kit based on the principle of Zinc stain, a negative staining method, is highly stable, non-toxic, and can be stored at room temperature for at least two years. The formation of Zinc-imidazole complex on polyacrylamide turns the gel to white and makes the protein portions remain transparent (no reactions with proteins). The proteins can be conducted for the following sequencing or MASS analysis without any destaining procedures. In the process, the modified alkaline lysis method and RNase treatment are used to get cleared cell lysate with minimal genomic DNA and RNA contaminants. In the presence of a chaotropic salt, the plasmid DNA in the lysate binds to glass fiber matrix in the spin column. The purified plasmid DNA is eluted by low salt elution buffer or water. The protocol does not require DNA phenol extraction and alcohol precipitation. Typical yields are 10-20 mg DNA for high-copy number plasmid or 0.5-5 mg for low-copy number plasmid.
